Five-year-old genius Arden Hayes dissed the Sony Xperia Tablet Z in favor for the iPad on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Tuesday. Jimmy Kimmel tried to present the whiz kid with a free Sony tablet, only to have Hayes reject the tablet because his family is planning to get an iPad for Christmas. That the boy genius would rather wait for a potential iPad than take home the Sony Xperia Tablet Z right away was probably a huge blow to Sony.
In fact, Sony reportedly ordered the Kimmel show to remove that part of the segment but it was ultimately uploaded to YouTube. The precocious Hayes first appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" back in July when he demonstrated his impressive knowledge on U.S. presidents. Hayes returned to the Kimmel show on Tuesday to show off his geography skills.
Afterwards, Hayes was presented with a globe puzzle and a Sony Xperia Tablet Z. While he liked the puzzle, he was not impressed with the Sony tablet. "Well you could just give it away," Hayes said as he pushed the tablet away. "We're just planning to get an iPad for Christmas."
